What is Pixel® Laser Skin Resurfacing?

It’s inevitable, we all age. And while we can’t turn back the clock, there are ways to safely and effectively restore the smooth, glowing skin we had when we were younger.

Pixel® skin resurfacing improves your skin’s texture and tone, smooths wrinkles, and diminishes brown spots. This produces dramatic results with no pain or downtime.

Unlike other methods, Pixel® skin resurfacing saves you time and discomfort, generally allowing your to resume your normal routine almost immediately.

How Does It Work?

Pixel® Laser Skin Resurfacing is based on the principle of microthermal treatment zones. Using a laser pulse, Dr. Kolansky creates tiny ablative zones, removing the epidermis and upper dermis. This triggers the body’s natural healing process, which stimulates the growth of new, healthy skin tissue.

The procedure treats small areas of the skin, leaving surrounding tissue untouched and intact. These large, unaffected areas act as a reservoir for more effective and rapid tissue healing and collagen production.

This gives you new, healthier, smoother skin that replaces the skin imperfections.

What should you expect?2019-01-29T00:30:14-05:00

Pixel® Laser Skin Resurfacing is more comfortable than conventional laser skin resurfacing. After the procedure, you may experience a slight tingling sensation and swelling for a day or two. Some patients have light redness for three to five days.

As new skin replaces the dead tissue, your skin will flake. This is a good thing and is a sign that the healing process has begun.

Generally, treatment involves two to four sessions at four-week intervals. Over the next few months, your skin will look better and steadily improve.
