The fellowship at the University of Iowa specialized in Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstruction, and skin grafting. It also included Laser Surgery, and the surgical removal of benign and malignant skin growths.
While at Iowa, Dr. Kolansky spent time instructing residents in surgical techniques, gaining invaluable experience teaching the next generation of doctors and was responsible for the management of the Iowa City Veterans Hospital, Dermatological Surgery Unit.
